Heading to our fly fishing spot... tornado wildfire, or spinning top wildfire, or volcano wildfire? I don't know, but that's where we headed (It is the Elk wildfire).

fishing for lake trout (I got a brownie and a rainbow) when the winds blew the smoke our way.
The winds were in out favor and the smoke and fire shifted away from town, giving us sunshine; a stoat dove in the river in front of me (it was like watching an otter) and then hung out with me for a while on the bank of the river (it was awesome). Then I caught this beauty in the river five minutes later with an elk hair fly. You can't beat fly fishing in a clean river... what a great trip.
Trout were small, but the views...
